My personal philosophy on education as I deliver it in the Dunham School of Business at Aurora University:
(a) Help identify, organize and present knowledge to students such that they can readily apply it.
(b) Differentiate what students should keep in 'active' memory from what they should know how to access through reference material.
(c) Make education challenging but not tedious. It is just as easy to learn with a smile as any other way.
(d) Stay connected to the business world in order to bring students current information and real illustrations.
(e) Share my learnings with whichever students are interested in and will benefit from them.
(f) Be available to students both during and after their college/graduate education.
(g) Overall: Listen attentively, provide respect, deserve respect and always encourage students to strive for excellence in all that they do.
