Written and oral critique will verify the student’s ability to verbalize aesthetic concepts. The student will present a public exhibit of his or her creative work which will include responsibility for all aspects of presentation and advertising. <>The student and instructor will meet at the beginning of the term and create a program of study which will include the number of works required, meeting times and general expectations. Work will be critiqued on a weekly basis. Exhibition and portfolio will be critiqued at the end of the semester. The grade will reflect the quality of the work and its satisfaction of the objectives outlined and agreed upon at the beginning of the term. The grade may be raised or lowered by as much as one letter grade to reflect effort, participation and improvement. ATTENDANCE at scheduled weekly meetings with an appropriate amount of work will be considered part of the participation component of the grade.
